Now in its 34th year, this industry-endorsed competition provides an opportunity for bakers, pastrycooks, chefs, butchers, apprentices, and more to compete for the sought-after titles of Australia’s Official Greatest Meat Pie, Australia’s Official Greatest Gourmet Pie, Australia’s Official Greatest Plain Sausage Roll, and Australia’s Official Greatest Gourmet Sausage Roll, along with a range of gold, silver, and bronze medals. Run annually by the Aussie Pie Council, the competition is well known throughout the country for providing awesome publicity and promoting award-winning pies and sausage rolls, resulting in increased profit for the winning businesses.
The Official Great Aussie Pie Competition has built pride among bakers, chefs, and butchers while establishing passion in the art of pie-making and forming an industry benchmark for excellence.
